Make a wish

Barrett-Jackson believes in making dreams come true ‒ not just for car enthusiasts, but also for those facing life’s toughest challenges. At the 2025 Scottsdale Auction in January, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions answered the call from Make-A-Wish Arizona to create an unforgettable experience for 13-year-old Cameron, who has been bravely fighting cancer. Rather than focusing on the roar of engines and high-stakes bidding, this day at the auction was all about Cameron: his strength, his excitement and the joy of a Super Saturday VIP experience designed just for him.

Dedicated to bringing hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses, Make-A-Wish is committed to granting life-changing wishes, empowering children with renewed strength, optimism and the motivation to keep pushing forward in their battles.

Having attended Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale Auction in the past, Cameron had always dreamed of spending more time up close with the incredible cars and experiencing the energy of a prime auction day, when the excitement, crowds and bidding reach their peak. This year that dream became a reality in an unforgettable way.

Cameron’s extraordinary day began with a ride across the auction block in his favorite car, a 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird. But the surprises didn’t stop there. Welcomed by Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson on the auction block, the young man was given the VIP treatment, receiving words of encouragement before he had the honor of hammering a vehicle sold.

According to Cameron’s parents, Tim and Laurie, their son has been passionate about classic and collector cars for as long as they can remember. Among his many favorites, the Plymouth Road Runner holds a special place in his heart ‒ largely because it was driven by his racing hero, NASCAR legend Richard Petty.

A devoted Mopar fan, Cameron’s dream day at Barrett-Jackson wouldn’t have been complete without some high-performance thrills from Dodge. He had the opportunity to take a few exhilarating laps on the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track in a Dodge Charger, the driver showcasing the raw power and precision of the muscle car. His automotive adventure continued as he took a ride in the company’s latest vehicle, the electric Stage 2 Daytona, experiencing firsthand the future of high-performance driving with cutting-edge technology.

For Cameron, this unique day was about more than just collector cars; it was about putting aside his illness and creating some very special memories with his mom, dad and two older brothers. From enjoying unforgettable moments on the famous auction block and admiring some classic Mopar rides to feeling the adrenaline of a high-performance vehicle, this brave young man’s enthusiasm was undeniable.

The entire Barrett-Jackson team hopes the experience has encouraged him to believe that anything is possible. It was truly an honor to have Cameron and his family at the auction.
